Loud Shirt Day – 26 September

Although the official day is 27th Sep we are holding our Loud Shirt Day on Thursday 26th Sep.

Students are asked to bring a gold coin donation and can wear a LOUD shirt or outfit.

Money raised for Loud Shirt Day goes to The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme so that deaf and hearing-impaired children get the therapy they need to listen and speak like hearing kids. The aim is for deaf children to focus on their abilities not their disability; both charities want deaf kids to be able to maximise their potential – so your donation helps deaf and hearing-impaired kids have a better future.
The Hearing House is based in Auckland and provides services to families living north of Turangi, and the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme is based in Christchurch and provides services to families in the rest of the country. Loud Shirt Day donations go to the region in which they were raised. Neither charity charges deaf children or their families for their services.
